How to clean your mask
Maintaining your silk sleep mask is essential to ensure it stays soft, durable, and effective. Follow these steps to clean your mask properly:
1. Hand Washing
- Fill a basin with lukewarm water (not hot, as heat can damage silk fibers).
- Add a mild detergent designed for delicate fabrics. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
- Submerge the mask and gently swirl it for about 3-5 minutes.
- Rinse with cool, clean water until no detergent residue remains.
2. Drying
- Gently squeeze out water (avoid wringing, as it can damage the fibers).
- Lay the mask flat on a clean, dry towel and roll it up to absorb excess moisture.
- Unroll and lay flat to air dry, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
3. Optional: Machine Washing (If Necessary)
- Place the mask in a mesh laundry bag for added protection.
- Use the gentle cycle on your washing machine with cold water and mild detergent.
- Avoid spinning on high speeds, as this can stretch and damage the silk.
4. Ironing (If Wrinkled)
- Use a low-heat setting or the "silk" setting on your iron.
- Place a clean cloth over the mask to protect the fabric and press lightly.
